MQ-9 Carbon Monoxide & Flammable Gas Sensor Module
MQ-9 gas sensor is SnO2, which has lower conductivity in clean air. It makes detection by cycling high and low temperature and detects CO when low temperature (heated by 1.5V). The sensor’s conductivity is higher along with the gas concentration rising. Detects Methane, Propane, combustible gas, etc.
MQ-9 sensor module is designed to detect carbon monoxide (CO) and flammable gases such as methane, LPG, and propane in the air.
It uses a sensitive SnO₂ semiconductor layer whose resistance changes with gas concentration, providing both analog and digital outputs for easy interfacing with controllers such as Arduino, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi.
