PCF8563 RTC Real time Clock

PCF8563 RTC Real time Clock module mainly makes use of PCF8563T chip. It is an ultra-low-power multi-function clock/calendar chip that is released by PHILIPS and includes an industrial-grade I2C bus interface function.

The PCF8563 RTC Board features I2C pin header on one side, and I2C connector on the opposite side. Hence, it’s more flexible to connect the board to your development system. The board also supports I2C cascading, allowing the use of multi module connected to the I2C bus at the same time by connecting the pin header and connector.

The PCF8563 RTC Real time Clock module comes with two fixed holes that allow you to mount it on other devices.

• Clock operating voltage: 1.0 V to 5.5 V
• Current: 0.25 μA for VDD = 3.0 V and Temp = 25 ° C
• Interface: I²C – 400 kHz (the VDD = 1.8 V – 5.5 V)
• Programmable clock output for peripheral devices: 32,768 kHz, 1,024 kHz, 32 Hz, and 1 Hz
• Alarm and stopwatch function
• Integrated oscillator and capacitor
• Internal Power-On / Reset
• I²C “slave” addresses: read A3h and write A2h
