ATmega328P, including a set of DIP switches to configure the serial connections. It boasts more IO pins, memory, PWM outputs, Analog inputs and Serial ports than the UNO board. When you have a project that needs more inputs, outputs & memory
With 8x the program memory, you have the room to write much larger programs to fully take advantage of the increased IO. Standard shields will still drop straight onto this board despite its elongated size.
