Q & A

FC-123 TCRT5000 reflective infrared sensor with a potentiometer for calibration is a reflection optocoupler that can detect objects nearby or lines in “Line Follower” robots; it also works well for detecting the edges of a board or table for small circular robots.

The module includes a comparator, thanks to which the use of the sensor is limited to reading the output status, which informs about the sensor status. The built-in potentiometer allows you to tune the sensor to work in a given application – adjusting the moment of changing the output state.

Specifications:
  • Model: FC-123
  • Digital output
  • Detection distance: up to 10 mm
  • Schmitt trigger 74HC14D
  • Effective angle: 35 °
  • LED indicating the output status
  • Clean output signal, no noise or distortion
  • Supply voltage: 5 V
  • Operating temperature: 10 – 30 C
  • Dimensions: 32 mm x 10 mm
