Description:

This WEMOS D1 Mini Buzzer Shield produces a loud alarm sound of about 1-3kHz. It will be activated with a HIGH level on one of the pins D5-D8 (selectable).

The buzzer is controlled by simply toggling the appropriate pin at the specific frequency that we want to hear.

We could do this by repeatedly setting our pin high, waiting for a period, and then setting it low again; however, this would be very trying. Instead, we’re going to use a technique called Pulse-Width Modulation (PWM).

This is a feature of our hardware (so it’s speedy and stable, instead of relying on a software implementation), and we can set it up and control it using the MicroPython PWM function.

Features:
Frequency: 1kHz-3kHz
Four optional control ports (Default: D5)(GPIO14)
Wemos D1 mini pins:
Pins: D5/D6/D7/D8 Buzzer

Warning: All I/O are designed to be 3.3V compliant only. While it is possible to plug shields into the device while it is powered (plugged into your computer), it is not recommended! As such, please remember to unplug the USB from your board before connecting or disconnecting any shields, or else you risk damaging the shield or the board.

Package included: 1x WeMoS D1 Mini Buzzer 2x Shield Pin header.
