It is has a female 2×5 IDC connector on each end that is designed to plug into a 0.100″ (2.54 mm) IDC’s are quicker, and therefore less expensive, to manufacture.

10-pin socket-to-socket ribbon cable assemblies consisting of a 28 AWG 7/36 stranded tinned copper wire PVC insulated ribbon cable with a 2.54mm pitch double row female socket on either end.
Each 10-pin Socket has a Key for accurate mating.
