Q & A

The MAX471 Sensor Module offers precise DC voltage and current measurements in a compact, efficient design for electronic and power system monitoring.

This module provides accurate, real-time monitoring of both voltage (up to 25V DC) and current (up to 3A DC), making it ideal for battery management.

The sensor’s high-side current sensing design measures current without breaking the ground line, ensuring compatibility with Arduino, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi.

With its low power consumption and high accuracy, the MAX471 module is widely used in solar systems, robotics, and DC load testing projects.

Specifications:
  • Max471 Voltage Current Sensor Voltage Load Detection
  • Test Voltage range: DC3 – 25V (Arduino work on 5V) or DC3 – 16.5V (for Arduino work on 3.3V)
  • Test Current range: DC 0 – 3A, Precision 2%, current and voltage transformation ratio is 1V/A
    Detection Pin Description:
  • Max471 Voltage Current Sensor Voltage Load Detection
  • VT:Voltage Detection pin, the detection voltage is 1/5 of the input voltage.
  • AT: Current Detection pin
  • GND: Connect to  the Arduino GND
  • VOUT/VIN: VOUT=VIN
  • Analog voltages up to 5V, the input voltage not greater than 5Vx5=25V (if using 3.3V, input voltage not greater than 3.3Vx5=16.5V)
  • Arduino AVR chips have 10-bit ADC, giving 0.00489V per step, so the module’s minimum detectable input voltage is 0.02445V.

Package Includes:
  • Max471 Voltage Current Sensor Voltage Load Detection
