351020 Lithium ion polymer Battery (LiPo) (3.7V 45mAh)

The batteries come pre-attached with a genuine 2-pin JST-PH connector as shown and include the necessary protection circuitry. Because they have a genuine JST connector, not a knock-off, the cable won’t snag or get stuck in a matching JST jack.

Q & A

351020 Lithium-ion polymer Battery (LiPo) (3.7V 45mAh) Each cell outputs a nominal 3.7V. These batteries have fast charge times, can reliably hold a charge, and have built-in safety circuitry. These batteries are the best go-to option for any portable project.

Model series Info  351020   3.5 = Thickness, 10= Width, 20 = length + or -5%

Lithium-ion polymer (also known as ‘lipo’) batteries are thin, light and powerful. The output ranges from 4.2V when ultimately charged to 3.7V. This battery has a capacity of 45mAh for a total of about 0.1665Wh. If you need a larger (or smaller!) battery, we have an extensive range of Lithium-ion polymer batteries.

Protection circuitry keeps the battery voltage from going too high (over-charging) or low over-discharge, which means that the battery will cut out when completely dead at 3.0V. It will also protect against output shorts. Even with this protection, it is essential that you only use a LiPo constant-voltage/current charger to recharge them at a rate of 0.5C or less. Tempero Systems suggest charging at 0.5C or even less, which is 22.5mA max for this battery. Like most lipos, These batteries do not have thermistors built in.

The batteries come pre-attached with a 2-pin JST-PH connector and include the necessary protection circuitry. The JST-PH connector has 2.0mm spacing between its pins.

Note:  NOT suitable for RC cars, planes, drones or other devices that require high power(current); these need a high rate battery with a continuous discharge rate of 5C, 10C, 15C, 20C, 25C, 30C, 40C, 50C or higher

Usage & Precaution:

Lithium-ion and lithium polymer cells are very powerful batteries, and YOU should take extreme care. Using them may get hot, explode or ignite and cause serious injury if exposed to abusive conditions. Unfortunately, we can not replace batteries damaged by non-compliant chargers or equipment.
Be sure to follow the safety warnings listed below:

Do not
  • overcharge Ensure the charger voltage does not exceed the battery’s stated full charge voltage.
  • over-discharge Ensure the equipment you use this battery in will not draw more current from that battery than the stated “Maximum Continuous Discharge Current.”
  • leave batteries discharged for an extended period can incur irreversible damage
  • by placing the battery on fire, heating, or direct sunlight to the battery.
  • Install the battery backwards, so the polarity is reversed.
  • Connect the battery’s positive and negative terminal with any metal object,
  • expose the battery to water or saltwater, or let the battery get wet.
  • Disassemble or modify the battery. The battery contains safety and protection devices.

Additional safety notes: Do not use a NiMH/NiCad/lead-acid charger! Also, Never charge or use unattended. Always inspect batteries and surrounding circuitry constantly for any damage, loose wiring, or the possibility of short circuits. As with all Lithium-ion polymer batteries and any power source – they should be used by experts who are comfortable working with power supplies.
