This Official Raspberry Pi USB-C adapter enables you to connect USB-B devices to the USB-C port on your Pi 4 board. So you can continue to use your standard micro-USB power supply cable. Please note, the Pi 4 board requires a 5.1V/3A PSU.
You can also use this USB-C adapter to connect other older peripherals to your new board. This includes; keyboards, mice and printers.
Note that when a micro USB power supply is used, the maximum power that can be delivered to the Raspberry Pi 4 will be 12.5W. This means that less power will be available to devices connected to the USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports on the Raspberry Pi 4 than when using the new Raspberry Pi 15.3W USB-C power supply.
